Travel Time

The length of your journey will vary depending on weather conditions, the time of day, and your chosen operator. In most cases, however, you can expect to be sailing for half an hour. On particularly clear days, it is not unusual to clear the crossing in 25 minutes.

Cost Of Travel

Just like the length of your trip, the cost of travel from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura is influenced by a number of factors. Chief among these factors is the operator you sail with.

If your main priority is keeping costs down, we recommend travelling with Lineas Maritime Romero. With this operator, a tourist can secure a return ticket for as little as €20. Residents, meanwhile, can travel between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura for just €11.50.

It goes without saying that prices will rise and fall as time passes by. For the most accurate prices, it’s best to contact your chosen operator directly. They generally have a live fare tracker, so you can always be certain of the cost of travel.

Best Days To Travel

If you have a flexible schedule, we suggest travelling from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura early in the week. During this time, crowds are much smaller and prices are at their lowest.

On weekends, the ferry ride can be a little uncomfortable. This is especially true during the summer, when the extreme heat combines with the large quantity of travellers to create an extremely humid environment.

Timetables

All three ferry operators run multiple crossings during the day. With so many times to choose from, you shouldn’t have any difficulty finding a ferry that suits your itinerary.
